An online encyclopedia for shark fans
Launched in 2014 for Discovery’s Shark Week, the site met a frequently audience requested need for more in-depth information on sharks. Filled with engaging information about shark battles, conservation, and plenty of pop culture, Sharkopedia was intended to cover literally everything from the world of sharks.
Iterate to keep them coming
The second year working on the site the team sought to really optimize mobile as so much of our traffic was to the mobile, with users looking to see more information during broadcast programming. Also in the second year, I worked on adjustments for Facebook stories to provide editorial content easily to Facebook users on Discovery’s feeds.
